Biography
Kimmie has spent her life using imagery and creativity to produce an array of timeless and philosophical works in the literary, music, visual arts, and performing arts arenas. As a spoken word artist, she seamlessly conveys the same profound messages found in her poetic expressions into compelling music compositions. Her music and singing style is both unique and enduring, which gives it universal appeal. In the wake of COVID-19, prompted by the shortage of disposable face masks, Kimmie exercised her fashion designer skills to create reusable, reversible / two-sided, 100% cotton, custom embroidered face masks with leather ties to provide a more long-term use solution than disposable masks. Four years later, in Spring 2023 she repurposed all those left over pieces of fabric she had cut for face masks and transformed them into stunning works of framed silk goldwork embroidery art.
